Laura is a freelance design consultant and home makeover expert.
She has performed dozens of projects on numerous homes over the past 17 years.
After an early career in both retail and business-to-business sales, she became a full-time mom. Before long, her natural flair for design, party planning, and home décor soon blossomed. She developed a sparkling reputation among family and friends for her ability to find or make innovative gifts, including her bamboo easel ("The Bambeezle"), seashell designs, fancy dog houses, and many more. She began dabbling in home remodeling projects after getting married in 1992, and a series of houses and projects soon followed.
She became progressively more knowledgeable about affordable home improvement, interior design, materials & construction, cost-saving techniques, and project management—and this learning process led her to a full-fledged passion. Laura’s expertise is a direct result of her pursuit of this passion rather than a planned career choice.
